Job Summary: 

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as production team member. In this role, you will be an integral part of our processing operations, responsible for various tasks involved in the production of pork products. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks on a production line, which may include:

    • Slaughtering and eviscerating hogs according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

    • Breaking down carcasses into primal and sub-primal cuts.

    • Trimming, deboning, and packaging various pork products.

    • Operating machinery and equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., saws, knives, conveyors).

    • Inspecting products for quality defects and ensuring adherence to specifications.

    • Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, including washing and sanitizing equipment and work areas.

    • Adhering to all food safety (HACCP, USDA), animal welfare, and occupational safety regulations (OSHA).

    • Working effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.

    • Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

  • Previous experience in a meat processing plant or similar production environment is a plus, but not mandatory. We will provide on-the-job training.

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs. regularly), pushing, and pulling.

  • Comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures, including cold and wet conditions.

  • Willingness to work with raw meat products.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a production plant environment.

  • Temperatures may vary from cold to ambient.

  • Safety gear (e.g., hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, smocks) must be worn at all times.
